Principal's Bio


Mrs. LeAnn Myers is a life-long resident of Greene County. She is a graduate of Chuckey-Doak High School and is proud to be a part of the east side schools which feed into her alma mater. Mrs. Myers graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1998. She received her Maters of Education in Supervision and Administration from Lincoln Memorial University in 2008, followed by her Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010. Mrs. Myers is currently a member of the Learning Forward Academy Class of 2016.

Mrs. Myers has worked in several capacities within the Greene County School System during her career. She began teaching in an interim position at Chuckey Elementary and Ottway Elementary, followed by a full-time position at Doak Elementary. Mrs. Myers also worked as a system gifted education teacher before returning to the classroom at Doak just prior to the opening of Chuckey-Doak Middle School in 2004. Most of her teaching career was spent at Chuckey-Doak Middle School as the 8th grade American history teacher. Prior to becoming a Chuckey Pirate in 2014, Mrs. Myers served as the Principal at McDonald Elementary School for three years.

Mrs. Myers is an active member of Cedar Creek Church of God where she volunteers with the middle school and high school age youth. Mrs. Myers is married to Michael Myers, and together they have two children, Michala and Olivia.
